Wow! I would say that all the work you did, in so many different ways, certainly paid off. From election night, we were in first place with a massive 48.26% of the vote. That happened because more than 800 of you volunteered to work on this campaign—walking precincts, texting, phone banking, and using all your social media skills. Our incredible numbers reflect that more than 1,300 different individuals made a monetary donation to this campaign.
SO THANK YOU SEEMS TOO SMALL FOR HOW GRATEFUL I AM TO ALL OF YOU.
The most important thing I can say, other than thank you, is that this primary election result does show that there is great depth to the belief that Public Education is worth fighting for. All of you know that this campaign is part of a much greater national movement, one that says to the wealthy in this state and in the U.S., it is time for your wealth to be taxed so that we can invest in our children.
I AM HONORED BY YOUR SUPPORT. Thank you for the thousands of hours of work so many did in this campaign. Thanks to all who helped make March 5th such a success.
With great affection and unending gratitude,
